Adiabatic Cooling System

VAI’S Adiabatic Cooling System: Cost-Effective, Efficient, and controllable

EVAPORATIVE PRE-COOLING AIR COOLED CONDENSERS The following benefits will become more apparent as your adiabatic cooling system runs more efficiently:

  • Adiabatic Cooling System Require Less energy consumption
  • Releasing of less greenhouse gasses
  • Water savings
  • Cost saving as a result of less energy and water usage

Suitable for

  • Commercial and industrial air-conditioning
  • Refrigeration units
  • HVAC units

During the hot weather months units are under constant pressure to circulate enough cool air to the area where it is needed. Put simply when air temperature increases, Evporative pre-cooling air cooled condensers system & adiabatic cooling system electricity consumption in air-conditioning units increases substantially and in addition to this process the cooling capacity of the air-conditioning unit decreases.

This increased load placed on the system results in

  • Poor performance.
  • Untimely shutdowns.
  • Compromised product quality.
  • Reduction of air-conditioning performance.
  • Increased electricity consumption.
  • Severe stress for mechanical parts, shortening the lifespan of the air-conditioning unit itself.
  • Excessive loads on the condensing coil of the unit from extreme heat causes the eventual shut down of the air-conditioning unit.

By installing a Misting System for Pre-cooling system clients can look forward to

  • Outside air temperature into the unit is lowered by up to 12°C.
  • Energy consumption drops, saving electricity and money as much as 30%.
  • Increases the efficiency of air-conditioning unit as much as 30%.
  • Reduces system downtime.
  • Improves occupant comfort level.
  • Substantially extends the life time of all A/C units.
  • Environmental benefits – lower consumption kW reducing your carbon footprint.

How do we install a Misting System for Evporative pre-cooling air cooled condensers system & adiabatic cooling system?

With the use mist nozzles placed in a line in front of the condenser coils to pre-cool the intake air passing through the condenser coils & EVAPORATIVE PRE-COOLING AIR COOLED CONDENSERS. When connected to a high pressure misting system pump, water is forced through the specialty nozzles and atomizes the droplets to as small as (5 microns).

Misting systems will produce billions of tiny droplets every second. If these droplets are introduced into an outdoor area, they quickly evaporate. This process of evaporation requires energy to be completed. The energy is taken from the air in the form of heat. The result is a temperature reduction of up to 12 degrees, depending on the ambient temperature and the relative humidity of the air. This method of temperature reduction is the most common use for all misting systems.

The cooler air passed across the condenser coil improves the heat transfer efficiency; the unit does not need the same amount of power to run.

Installing our unique pre-cooling misting system you can reduce the temperature by up to 12° C, significantly improving the operating performance and efficiency of the air-conditioning units by as much as 30%.

How Adiabatic Cooling System Works

FAQ's

Adiabatic cooling systems function similarly to dry cooling systems, but with the incorporation of pre-cooling pads; running water over pre-cooling pads and drawing air through the pads depresses the ambient dry bulb of the incoming air.

A typical adiabatic cooling system pulls air from the external environment, reduces its temperature by evaporating water in its presence, and then feeds the cooled air to a heat exchanger. The thermal exchanger eliminates heat energy from the associated process/equipment and transfers it to the cool ambient air.

The principle of adiabatic cooling has been harnessed to develop cooling units that can save the industry millions of liters of water. In our country, older cooling towers currently use 1.5 quadrillion liters of water, which they tend to pollute. Adiabatic cooling units can also save more than 40% in electricity.
